SC Advisors & Equity Crown: The Crown Way Project
Three 1950’s era warehouses, once housing juice canning operations for Crown Cork & Seal Company, will soon be a unique office, restaurant, and event complex adjacent to the rapidly developing Packing District. Totaling almost 120,000 SF, Crown Way will offer a volume of space and abundant natural light along with outdoor gathering areas unlike anything now in Orlando.
The property, which faces West New Hampshire Street just east of Orange Blossom Trail, was purchased by the South Florida investment firm Equity Crown, LLC, in January 2019. SC Advisors handled the acquisition and will act as Equity Crown’s development partner.
The canning warehouses have the kind of scale and character that are best preserved and celebrated. We are exploring multiple possibilities to adaptively repurpose them in a way that complements the Packing District’s long-term vision and creates commercial spaces capable of meeting modern requirements in a unique environment. Similar warehouse conversions in infill locations continue to thrive across the country, and Orlando is more than ready to embrace the concept.
In addition to the uniqueness of the space itself, Crown Way’s location adjacent to the Packing District should make it a highly attractive place to work and visit. SC Advisors and Equity Crown are excited to continue advancing plans in the coming weeks and will share additional information as it becomes available.
