SC Advisors is a relationship-driven firm offering select clients over 100 years of collective development, transaction, and project management experience. Client driven work most often requires an experienced skill set capable of delivering creative and strategic plans that can unlock a real property’s potential and provide the services required to deliver any built environment.

Our disciplines include owner-based master planning, financial analysis, Owner Representation for design & build management, property management, and ongoing acquisition, disposition, and leasing. Our private investment assignments include master planned communities, mixed-use projects, single family, multi-family, senior housing, office, hotel, retail, medical office development and warehouse/flex space. Our public sector and public/private partnerships assignments include numerous large scale venues and all aspects of infrastructure.

We have completed over $3+ billion in development projects and have over $500 million in active assignments. Our transaction and underwriting expertise include over a billion dollars in successful closings including large land holdings, multi-family, hotel, office, retail, senior housing, and warehouse/flex space.

Our resume of projects includes numerous distinguished and award-winning projects we are honored to be associated with and proud of the contribution each has made to the central Florida community. Jay Berlinsky

Jay Berlinsky is the founder and owner of SC Advisors. Since the late 1980s, he has been a quiet force behind many of Orlando’s most prominent development projects. A fifth-generation Central Floridian with over thirty years of real estate development experience, Jay brings a wealth of knowledge, as well as a unique understanding of the Central Florida market, its history, and its people. Many of the region’s key stakeholders have chosen Jay and his team at SC Advisors to guide them through the development of their projects.

Jay’s proven track record as a client advocate and leader is evidenced by his portfolio of landmark projects that have shaped our city and region. His projects have included SunTrust Tower and CNL Tower II, Campus Crusade for Christ’s World Headquarters, Wycliffe Bible Translators’ World Headquarters, Amway Center, and the Citrus Bowl Reconstruction. His work in public/private ventures also includes his role as advisor to the City of Orlando on the Master Community Venue Plan – a public/private development plan to build Amway Center and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing arts, and near-total demolition and reconstruction of the Florida Citrus Bowl totaling over 1.5 billion dollars.

Jay looks forward to continuing to build his community and steward the highest levels of project planning and design. SCA’s most recent assignments include two development projects for Dr. Phillips Charities designed to enhance the Central Florida community and generate revenue to further Dr. Phillips’ charitable initiatives that include the Spring Lake campus, the Packing District, and continued involvement in the Storey Park master planned community in Southeast Orange County.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Baylor University.

Jay enjoys being a father and grandfather to three daughters and a grandson, pursuing a lifelong interest in fly fishing, travel and supporting various philanthropic interests.

Kathy Johnson Berlinsky

Kathy brings a diverse professional background to her role as SC Advisors’ Director of Finance. Her career began in Houston in Exxon Corporation’s Public Affairs Department where her responsibilities included government, media, and community relations. She also served as the Executive Director of Houston’s Business Arts Fund.

In 1987, Kathy was appointed Director of University Development for the University of Central Florida and later became the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida. In 2005, she helped launch SC Advisors.

Kathy earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Texas’ Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, specializing in policy development, planning, and budgeting. Her Bachelor’s degree, also from the University of Texas, included a double major in French and Marketing.

Kathy enjoys books, tennis, Bible study, reading, travel. She volunteers for IDignity, serves as Vice President of the Bach Festival Society, and is an active member of St Michael’s Episcopal Church. Most of all she enjoys her children and grandson.

Brent Daubach

With 18 years of design and construction experience, Brent’s projects have included many noteworthy landmarks in sports and government. His expertise in project management, scheduling, budgeting, negotiations and field supervision is reflected in his work on multiple world-class venues.

Brent served as project manager for the $515 million retractable-roof stadium for the Miami Marlins. This project included a retractable wall located in the outfield, state-of-the-art video displays, modern finishes and public art throughout the stadium’s exterior.

Brent also coordinated the $250 million renovation of the Kansas City Royals’ Kaufman Stadium and served as project manager for the St. Louis Cardinals’ new Busch Stadium, a 46,000-seat, 1.4 million-square-foot open-air stadium. In addition, Brent has worked on a $200 million courthouse and a $60 million courthouse complex.

Brent joined SC Advisors in 2013 as the project manager for the $200 million renovation of Camping World Stadium (formerly the Florida Citrus Bowl) and led the project to its completion in just ten months. He will now oversee a $25 million further expansion of Camping World Stadium and will continue to advise the City of Orlando on future venue initiatives.

Brent received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. He and his wife, Kelly, have two young children.

Bradley Watkins

Brad joined SC Advisors as a consultant at the beginning of 2019 to help facilitate the construction of the Packing District Park and transportation improvements. Brad brings 32 years of construction and real estate experience to the team. His most recent work includes the acquisition and construction of all but the first of 4Rivers Restaurant Group’s facilities — approximately $25 million over the last 8 years.

Brad was born in Elmwood Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. He attended Florida State University studying Accounting and Pre-Law and then in 1984 transferred to Purdue University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering and Building Construction Technology, with a minor in Interior Design. He became a Licensed Certified General Contractor in the state of Florida in 1991.

In 1997 Brad founded a construction company with a partner Jeffrey Friedrich. The Friedrich Watkins Company grew to $50 million in annual revenue before Brad sold his share to his partner in 2013.

Currently Mr. Watkins leads the 4Rivers construction and maintenance efforts, as well as the Packing District Park, transportation and 4Roots Farm Campus. Brad has been in the construction industry since high school and learned an appreciation for self performing work on his own home and automobiles. He has always had a lifelong dream of owning and operating a hardware store.

Mr. Watkins has been involved in many organizations over the years including the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, served at Grace Fellowship in a voluntary management position and teaching position, supported 6 children in the Dominican Republic, has been on multiple mission trips there and to Rwanda Africa and Mexico City Mexico. Currently Brad serves as the Chair of the Central Care Mission Board. Brad also commits time to a men’s mission called the Larger Story organizing spiritual boot camp trips in the Central Florida area. Mr. Watkins lives in Maitland Florida, was married to Betsy in 1990 and has four children Buck and Cale (22), Malik (22) and Kirker (17) as of this writing.

Patrick Hughes

Patrick Hughes is engaged in all aspects of SC Advisors’ real estate practice including development, owner’s representation, and acquisitions and dispositions. Patrick’s responsibilities range from planning and designing to leasing and sales, construction management, capital structuring, and financial analysis.

Prior to joining SC Advisors, Patrick was responsible for the financial analysis, organization, and management of Demetree Global’s asset portfolio including real estate holdings, private equity investments, and liquid holdings.

Prior to joining Demetree, Patrick was involved in all aspects of PCE’s investment banking practice, playing a key role in providing quantitative and analytical support for mergers, acquisitions and other financial advisory services. Specifically, Patrick’s involvement ranged from buy-side and sell-side engagements to recapitalizations, ESOPs and general corporate advisory.
Patrick began his career at CNLBank where he eventually became the senior commercial loan underwriter for the Central Florida market. Patrick provided credit analysis and portfolio management for small and middle market companies in a variety of industries including real estate, industrial, medical, and business services.

Patrick graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in International Business. He is also a licensed real estate sales associate in the state of Florida. He lives in Winter Park with his wife, Katie, and their two children.

Vladimir Louissaint

Vladimir Louissaint currently serves as a Management Associate at SC Advisors (SCA), managing properties, development initiatives, and leasing operations. Vladimir is a first-generation college student from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is also a licensed real estate sales associate in the state of Florida.

Prior to his full-time position, Vladimir gained valuable experience at SCA as an intern. During this internship, he analyzed financial documents, including operating statements, rent rolls, and loan documents. The experience provided him with a greater enthusiasm for the company and for the real estate industry as a whole.

Aside from his professional pursuits, Vladimir also enjoys travel, sports, and spending quality time with his friends.
